Ten Alps, the Aim-listed TV production house founded in 1999 by Alex Connock, Bob Geldof and Des Shaw, has grown significantly since its humble beginnings in small office on an industrial estate in London's Docklands. The factual media company has followed an aggressive acquisition strategy snapping up over fifteen companies and now employs over 500 staff managing over 400 specialist publications, 30 TV programmes, 20 radio shows and 40 annual events. MediaFinance spoke with Ten Alps' co-founder and chief executive Alex Connock about the firm's multi-platform growth strategy and its future expansion.

What is MediaFinance?

We offer the definitive news source on raising finance for media companies. Established in 1994, and acquired by PA Business in December 2006, Thompson Stanley Publishers serves bankers, investors and CFOs from operators and equipment suppliers with in-depth news of debt and equity financing for the sector. Forgotten Password

Saved searches and emails

You can save up to 20 sets of search terms and then run them at any time by going to the saved searches page. You can modify saved searches, delete them or choose whether they should trigger an email when content is added to MediaFinance that matches the terms. You can choose whether emails are triggered at regular intervals or the moment matching content is added. One of your saved searches can also be made the default, which means you will see the results of that search whenever you log in to the site. To create a saved search use the quick search to the right of each page or the advanced search. The results page includes a form to save your search terms.

Advanced search form

The advanced search form allows you to narrow down your search criteria by adding a number of extra parameters. You can search for company names, words or exact phrases, exclude words and limit results to a range of dates. You can also choose to search by region, country or topic using the drop-down menus provided.

Time period covered by the site

You are able to access material from the last 30 days.
